Emeralds are Minecraft's currency - they're the little green gems you can trade with villagers for big rewards. With the right villagers and higher level professions, you can get high level enchanted gear before opening a single diamond block. And there is a way to use villagers to earn an infinite supply of emeralds. Emeralds aren't just great for buying stuff from villagers, each profession also improves a villager's profession. Leveling up in Professions causes villagers to sell higher quality stuff! The more emeralds the better, and with just one profession you can turn your villager into an endless emerald producer.
There are a few tricks you need to know to make this happen. First, you will need a village. You will also need a Librarian villagers – what we can do by placing the right construction block. We will also need to turn your villager into a zombie to be able to heal them! Healed villagers are much friendlier to you and give you much better prices. Once we have done all this we can start the infinite emerald farm. No achievements here – and you can multiply the number of emeralds you earn by creating even more librarians in your village!

How To Farm Villagers For Infinite Emeralds
There is one Villager profession that can earn you a profit just by trading with them. the Village librarian is one of the best sources of Emeralds – sure, you can trade Fletchers for Sticks or donate all your Rotten Meat, but this might be the easiest method yet. Here are the basics.
- Village Emerald | Librarian Edition
- Find Village librarian – or convert a villager into a librarian by placing a Desk block.
- Buy Library x1 for x1 Emerald.
- Break the library to win x3 Books. Sell books for x1 Emerald each, for a total of x3 emeralds.
- This is an x2 Emerald profit for each transaction.
The librarian villager will exchange 12 times before you need to refresh the stock. They will go to their construction block twice a day to resupply, which makes a total of 36 emeralds you can do per day with just one librarian. Create multiple librarians with multiple lecterns in a village, and you can keep multiplying those numbers per day.
To make the most of your exchanges, you should zombify then heal the villager. To do this, switch your difficulty to Difficult so there is a 100% chance a villager will zombify instead of die. Also, be sure to trade with the Librarian before zombifying him - if you have swapped at least once, the zombie-villager never disappear.
A villager will zombify 100% of the time on hard difficulty when attacked by a zombie. To cure them, you must apply weakness (with a Potion of Weakness) then use a pomme d’Or.
