Shake your livelihood
I always like to end the year by taking a look at Steam's list of best-selling games.
Besides high-profile new releases like Cyberpunk 2077 and surprising indie hits like Phasmophobia, 2022 has been another year of gaming dominated by old flames that we simply can't part with.
Here are the "Top 100 games measured by gross revenue" on Steam in 2022:

I'm also fascinated by Steam's 'most played' section - the games with the most concurrent players in 2022. Cyberpunk and Among Us are represented on the list of over 200 players at once, as one could to be expected, is Life is Strange 000. I'm really surprised to see that name pop up.
Another interesting tidbit via Daniel Ahmad: A ton of us set aside time during the holidays for some (much more than "some") PC games. This year, Steam had 23 million peak concurrent users on Christmas Day – a notable increase from 2022 (15,8 million users), 2022 (15,3 million) and 2022 (16,2 million) .
If you're curious, Steam is also highlighting new releases, Early Access graduates, the best in VR, and controller games – “the best controller games of the year as measured by daily active controller gamers” .
You do you, Steam. You do you.
