#20 Skull and Bones
- Developer: Ubisoft
- Publisher: Ubisoft
- Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
- Released: 2022
- Co-op: online only 4 players
- Competitive multiplayer game: yes
Ubisoft has been teasing Skull & Bones for a while now and it was during E3 2022 that the dev studio gave a closer look at the upcoming pirate game. Players will command a crew of pirates as they set out to sea to scavenge loot from unsuspecting ships.
The gameplay is similar to Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, in which players can maneuver their ship around the seas while lining up shots to launch themselves against your target. So far we know that the game will allow players to befriend other crews, upgrade their ships, and even add unique abilities to help trick other ships, for example raising false flags.
# 19 Psychonauts 2
- Developer: Double Fine Productions
- Publisher: Starbreeze Studios
- Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
- Released: 2022
- Co-op: N / A
- Competitive Multiplayer Game: N/A
Developers Double Fine Productions and game director Tim Schafer were looking for a sequel to their 2022 release, Psychonauts. It now looks like we'll be getting this sequel at some point in the coming year, although as of this writing, it doesn't look like a release schedule has been set at this time. The video game will still follow the same overall game mechanics as a platform title.
Within the game, players will follow Raz after the events of Psychonauts in Rhombus of Ruin, a title developed for PlayStation VR to tie the first Psychonauts game to the sequel. While there aren't many details about the game yet, Tim Schafer takes a closer look at Raz's backstory and family history.
#18 Minecraft Dungeons
- Developer: Mojang
- Editeur: Xbox Game Studios
- Platforms: XBO, PC, NS, PS4
- Released: 2022
- Co-op: online only 4 players
- Competitive Multiplayer Game: N/A
Mojang, best known for its release of Minecraft, has a new title coming soon called Minecraft Dungeons. This is a different style of Minecraft gameplay, as players cannot build or craft, but rather play the title as a dungeon crawler. Players will explore randomly generated dungeons and defeat monsters, solve puzzles and locate treasures. Even though the game can be enjoyed alone, it is best played with a group of friends consisting of four players in total.
# 17 Crossfire X
- Developer: Smilegate
- Editeur: Xbox Game Studios
- Platforms: XBO
- Released: 2022
- Co-op: coming soon
- Competitive multiplayer game: yes
In Asia, Crossfire is a very popular free FPS video game. Developed by Smilegate, Microsoft has teamed up with the developer to launch a new version of the game, Crossfire X. During the first part, the developers will basically keep the elements from the first installment. Players will be split into two factions as they compete in different game modes, similar to Counter-Strike.
Although a multiplayer element takes center stage in the game, it looks like a single-player campaign is also attached. Remedy Entertainment has been confirmed to be working on the single-player campaign, but at the time of writing, we don't have details on what to expect. Likewise, we have no gameplay footage to compare with the 2022 version of Crossfire.
# 16 Tales of Arise
- Developer: Bandai Namco Studios
- Publisher: Bandai Namco Entertainment
- Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
- Released: 2022
- Co-op: coming soon
- Competitive Multiplayer Game: Coming Soon
A new episode of Tales is in the works for 2022. Tales of Arise is a whole new journey from Bandai Namco Studios. Players will follow a story that revolves around two worlds: one is set in medieval times, while the other has rapidly evolved with technology. So far we know that the two main protagonists will come from each world, but we are still waiting to hear more about the premise of this upcoming title.
Anyway, if you are a fan of Tales games, you will find that nothing has changed drastically. You'll still find that the game will feature a variety of locations to explore, a unique cast of characters to interact with, and the classic linear linear combat system. It's a system that acts like an action RPG where players will be able to move freely to attack while building up various gauges to use stronger attacks against an enemy.
